Gifted and Talented Education Graduate Certificate Program (Non-Degree)

Certificate Requirements — 12 credits

This four-course certificate program is designed for K-12 teachers who want to learn more about characteristics of students who are identified as needing Gifted Education services and programming. Teachers will complete the program with a foundation in Gifted and Talented Education that better prepares them to meet the needs of a wide variety of learners. The courses provide a broad overview of the field of Gifted Education. In addition, teachers will learn research-based instructional strategies and will be required to work directly with students to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the courses.
