The program consists of three parts:

  1. Liberal Arts Core (LAC) Credits
  2. Required Major Credits
  3. University-Wide Credits

Program Description:

Economics majors and minors learn the traditional tools and concepts of economics, theories and quantitative procedures applicable to economics and related disciplines and techniques and methodologies employed by economic practitioners.

Program Requirements:

  • A maximum of six directed study credits in Economics may be taken.

  • A maximum of nine internship credits combined in Economics and/or Environmental and Sustainability Studies (ECON 492 and/or ENST 492) may be taken (internship in ENST may be subject to ECON advisor approval).

Program Recommendations:

A minor is strongly recommended.
