Minor Requirements — 18 Credits

Choose 18 credits from HIST-prefix courses

 

NOTES: A minimum of 9 semester credits with HIST prefixes must be taken at the 200 level or higher. 

History minors must obtain a grade of “C” or better (C- is not acceptable) in all history courses taken at UNC. Minors receiving a grade of “C-” or lower in a history course must retake the course, or an equivalent approved by the academic advisor, and receive a grade of “C” or better (C- is not acceptable) to have the course counted toward the minor.

It is recommended that at least one course should be drawn from the fields of Latin American, African or Asian history.

Students are encouraged to select electives with the advice and approval from their advisors.
