Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Education (K-Grade 12)

College of Education and Behavioral Sciences

Requirements — 24 Credits

The graduate Culturally & Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Education program was created to prepare teachers to serve the growing number of English language learners in their classrooms, and to address the critical shortage of teachers who are eligible to apply for the Colorado CLD Education endorsement so that they can effectively educate students who are learning English as a new language. The CLD endorsement program requires the completion of 24 semester hours. Requirements for the program include: Admission to the Graduate School; and teaching licensure or enrollment in a teacher preparation program. Evidence of second language learning experience needs to be demonstrated for completion of this program.
