The University operates seventeen residence halls as well as the Arlington Park Apartments. The University requires that all freshmen carry a meal plan unless living in Lawrenson Hall or Arlington Park Apartments. Housing and Dining Withdrawal Costs
Housing & Dining contracts are valid for the full academic year (both fall and spring semesters). You must remain in the University’s housing program if enrolled in 6 or more credits.
Housing and Dining Services will charge a daily rate (per diem) to students who withdraw from the University through the mid-way point in the semester. Specific dates change each semester, see https://www.unco.edu/living-on-campus/ for current deadlines/dates.
After the mid-semester deadline/date, students are charged in full for their room and board contract. If a student has purchased additional dining dollars (in addition to their meal plan), a credit will be given for any of those that are unused. NOTE: The Housing deposit is non-refundable after the cancellation deadlines listed in the terms & conditions for Housing & Residential Education. The Housing deposit will be forfeited for all students that withdraw or are enrolled in fewer than 6 credits.
Semester Bear Plans
Students living off campus and upperclassmen living in Lawrenson Hall, at the Arlington Park Apartments, or in one of the UNC-owned houses can choose to carry any meal plan option available – including Off Campus Bear Plans.
Students can use their meal plans in any of our dining rooms, choosing from dine-in seating or from either of our to go options. Daily menus are listed on the Dining Services website or on the UNC Mobile App. Dining Dollars can be added to meal plans and can be used to purchase food and beverage items at any campus Retail Dining location. Snack and beverage vending machines located across campus also accept Dining Dollars.
