UNC and AIMS Community College Cooperative Registration Agreement

Undergraduate students enrolled full-time at UNC or Aims Community College are eligible to take one undergraduate class (maximum 5 credits) at the other school during the corresponding term without additional tuition charges. Interim Winter Session is not included.

The equivalent course cannot be offered at the respective home institution during the term in which the student enrolls in the course.

  • General Guidelines:
    • Students must meet prerequisite requirements and must pay any course fees other than tuition.
    • Continuing Education courses do not count toward the 12 semester credits, full-time status or as the free class.
    • At the end of the term, students found to be ineligible will be billed for and must pay tuition charges to the host school. 
    • Once the course has been completed, please have an official transcript sent to your home institution in order to receive transfer credit.
  • Admission/Registration:
    • Aims student enrolling at UNC:
      • Aims students who do not have an active UNC student account need to complete the non-degree seeking application.
      • Once admitted as a non degree seeking student, Aims students will be allowed to register at UNC starting the Monday following the last day of pre-registration for UNC students.
      • Once registered at UNC, the UNC/Aims Cooperative Agreement needs to be completed and submitted to the Office of the Registrar
      • For eligible Aims Cooperative students at UNC, tuition charges are removed from the student bill the week after the drop-deadline each semester.
    • UNC student enrolling at Aims:
      • UNC students will follow regular admission and enrollment steps at Aims; however, in place of payment, the UNC student should complete the Aims cooperative agreement by logging into the Aims student Workday system, searching for 'Create Request,' and selecting the Request Type: STUDENT ACCOUNTS: University of Northern Colorado Cooperative Agreement.
