Learn practical ways to collect, understand, analyze, and use data in criminal justice settings. Students will explore how statistics can help answer real-world questions, such as identifying crime trends, evaluating programs, and interpreting research findings, without assuming prior confidence in math. Students will learn how to describe data, measure variables, summarize samples, test hypotheses, and interpret statistical results. They will also gain hands-on experience using SPSS, a statistical software program, to analyze criminal justice data.
