International Student and Scholar Services
International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) supports students, scholars, and dependents in F or J visa categories in maintaining their legal status while in the United States, and serves as a resource to students, faculty, and staff in meeting the needs of the global Bear community.
Students and scholars with F or J visa status are responsible for following the regulations of the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security (DHS) and State (DOS) pertaining to their visa status.
ISSS is the only office on campus with the regulatory authority to issue and sign F or J visa related documents, authorize off-campus employment authorization and practical training, authorize reduced course loads for international students or to advise on F- and J- visa related matters.
