Second Baccalaureate

Completed 1st bachelor’s degree at the University of Northern Colorado

Any student who has earned a baccalaureate degree from UNC and intends to earn a second baccalaureate degree from UNC must submit a Major-Minor Change form. Upon completion of the form and approval by the appropriate programs, the student's records will be changed to reflect the intent to complete a second baccalaureate degree.

A student seeking a second baccalaureate degree at UNC must earn a minimum of 30 additional semester hours of credit beyond the credits required for the first degree and must fulfill all program requirements.

Completed 1st bachelor’s degree at another institution

Any student who has earned a baccalaureate degree from another institution and intends to earn a second baccalaureate degree from UNC must complete an admission application through the UNC Admissions Office.

A student seeking a second baccalaureate degree at UNC must earn a minimum of 30 additional semester hours of credit beyond the credits required for the first degree and must fulfill all program requirements.

A student who has earned a baccalaureate degree or post-graduate degree from UNC or another institution, cannot pursue a second baccalaureate degree, or a minor in conjunction with a second baccalaureate degree, from UNC in the same major/area of study as the prior degree.
