Elective Credits (0-6 hours)
Elective credits must have the approval of the program advisor and must satisfy the Thesis option or the Professional Research Project Option.
The following course is recommended to be used as an elective:
SES 692 | Graduate Internship in Sport and Exercise Science | 1-6 |
Professional Research Project
The writing and presentation of a research project satisfies the completion of the comprehensive exam. Students must see an advisor in the Biomechanics Emphasis to develop a program matrix and research paper topic.
Thesis Option (Elective Credit Hours — 6)
The thesis option hours may be included as elective hours within a student’s program. The Thesis option requires the completion of an experimental research project (problem development, data collection and analysis, write-up, and defense).
