NOTE: If a candidate is seeking a Colorado Department of Education teaching license and enters the Master of Arts program in Teaching American Sign Language without a current teacher licensure, she or he is required to complete the course requirements listed under Professional Teacher Education prior to TASL 593 and TASL 594.

All students are required to demonstrate proficiency in ASL prior to acceptance into the program and complete a ASL proficiency test prior to their first practicum course, TASL 593. In addition, all students are expected to complete two teaching practica experiences, a portfolio, and a research project as part of their graduation requirements.
