ECON 333 Sports Economics
This course is a study in economics in the context of sports. This course applies microeconomic techniques to study the allocation of resources in professional and collegiate sports, examining topics such as labor markets in professional and collegiate sports, ticket prices for sporting events, the use of economic analysis to determine team strategy, the determinants of an athlete’s salary, gender wage differentials, and the economic impact of sports within local communities.
