SOC 489 Practicum in Applied Research

Students gain practical experience applying social research methods to real-world issues. The course emphasizes data literacy, research design, data collection and analysis, client communication, ethics review and technical report writing. Projects focus on developing professional skills for entry-level research and evaluation work.
