Application Process
Applicants seeking admission to the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program at the University of Northern Colorado College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNC COM) apply through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS). The application opens in early May and closes in early April of the following year. Applicants should refer to the AACOMAS website for official deadline information.
Supplemental Application
Eligible applicants will be invited to complete the UNC COM Supplemental Application and submit a non-refundable $75 fee. The supplemental application provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate alignment with the UNC COM mission and to highlight their communication skills. The supplemental application must be submitted no later than April 1.
Application Review
All completed applications are reviewed for mission fit and merit based on academic performance, regional connection, community engagement, exposure to healthcare, leadership, research and alignment with UNC COM mission and values. Selected applicants will be invited to interview.
Interview and Decision Process
Following the interview, the Admissions Committee conducts a holistic review. Admission decisions are issued on a rolling basis until class capacity is reached.
Enrollment Requirements
Accepted applicants must submit a $400 enrollment deposit in accordance with AACOMAS Traffic Guidelines ($150 initial deposit and $250 balance due by May 1). All required matriculation documentation, including a background check, must be completed by July 1 to ensure timely enrollment.
