DSST (DANTES) and Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT)

DSST (DANTES) Program

The University of Northern Colorado awards credit for the DSST (DANTES) Examinations to students who scored at or above the required score. A maximum of 30 credit hours can be applied toward the graduation requirement. 

DSST (DANTES) is treated as transfer work. Transfer coursework granted equivalency at UNC will be subject to course repeatability rules and hours will only be awarded for one passed completion.

DSST (DANTES) credit is counted as non-residency transfer work.

Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT)

The University of Northern Colorado awards credit for successful completion of Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) scores for Elementary and Intermediate Language courses as transcribed on the Defense Language Institute official transcript.  Intermediate-level courses will receive credit in Arts and Humanities-World Language area (LAA4).

DLPT credit is counted as non-residency transfer work.
