Arts Entrepreneurship Certificate
Program Overview
College of Performing and Visual Arts
This certificate prepares students for success in the highly competitive and ever-evolving world of the professional performing and visual arts. It includes 9 credits of common coursework, and 6 credits in student's primary area – Art and Design, Music, or Theatre Arts & Dance. The Certificate will consist of 15 credits – 6 credits within the major areas and 9 credits of required common coursework. Thus each certificate will share common coursework, as well as individual courses unique to a student’s own artistic discipline. This certificate will prepare students for success in the highly competitive and ever-evolving world of the professional performing and visual arts.
The Arts Entrepreneurship Certificate Program is open to undergraduate students with declared majors in:
- Art and Design B.A. – Art Studio Concentration
- Art and Design B.A. – Art History Concentration
- Art and Design B.A. – Visual Communication Design Concentration
- Music B.A. – Liberal Arts Concentration
- Music B.M. – Business Concentration
- Music B.M. – Composition Concentration
- Music B.M. – Instrumental Performance Concentration
- Music B.M. – Jazz Studies Concentration
- Music B.M. – Piano Concentration
- Music B.M. – Vocal Performance Concentration
- Musical Theatre B.A., Theatre Arts B.A
- And others with permission from the College of Performing and Visual Arts
