Career preparation and understanding of the mass communications media are two significant benefits of majoring in this discipline. Undergraduates are able to choose from among two emphases: news and multimedia journalism and public relations. Professionally-experienced, academically-qualified faculty members in each emphasis provide opportunities for instruction and skills enhancement. Modern facilities include a full-HD TV studio and a computerized news writing lab.
