EDEC 464 Early Childhood Curriculum Language Arts

The focus of this course is on teaching young children in K-3 classrooms appropriate language arts and literacy instruction. It is designed to provide early childhood education students with an overview of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to successfully teach and support young learners in the area of language arts. Eighty hours of field experience are also required for this course. The field experience will focus on observations of literacy instruction and assignments that integrate literacy with other content areas.
