APCE 657 Ethical, Legal Standards, and Professional Orientation to Counseling and Psychology
The course covers the interrelationship of ethical standards and legal regulation in professional counseling, psychology and education. Ethical standards, legal regulations, and litigation are examined in regard to professional conduct and practice. This course provides a conceptual foundation for the counseling and psychology profession. This course places the profession in an historical context; introduces associations, licensure, certification, accreditation, codes of ethics, and practice settings.
