Commencement
Students who have successfully completed all degree requirements are eligible to participate in the UNC COM Commencement Ceremony, which is held annually in the spring. Students who have not yet completed all degree requirements may participate if all requirements are expected to be completed before July 1 of the graduation year.
Students on an approved modified enrollment plan may participate in the ceremony with the cohort with whom they will enter the ACGME residency match.
To participate in Commencement, students must be included on the tentative graduation list and comply with all University deadlines and procedures for applying for graduation. Students who do not apply for graduation by the published deadline will not appear on the graduation list or in the Commencement program.
Any exceptions to this policy must be approved in advance by the UNC COM Dean and require supporting documentation consistent with University procedures.
