Spanish for the Professions Certificate

Program Overview

College of Humanities and Social Sciences

The certificate program in Spanish for the Professions equips students preparing for careers in business, criminal justice, or health care, to communicate effectively with native Spanish-speaking stakeholders.

Certificate Requirements — 18 credits

Take all of the following courses — 15 credits:

Students whose prior experience with Spanish results in a placement test score beyond SPAN 100 may, on completion of their first Spanish language course with a "B" grade or higher, ask their academic advisor to submit a Prior Learning Credit form, to receive credit for the lower-level Spanish prerequisite courses.
