HIST 114 World History to 1500

Starting with the origins of our species to roughly 1500, we seek to understand what it means to be human and how our human communities have become increasingly complex and interconnected. By analyzing history through multiple perspectives, topics include ancient civilizations, the formation of belief systems, the rise and fall of empires, and the pivotal moment of global contact.
