HIST 118 History of Mexico

This course examines Mexican history from the 16th century to the present. Main themes include relations between Spaniards, indigenous groups, and Africans; the aspirations and political crises after independence; political participation of peasants, workers, and women; corruption and violence related to drug trafficking.
