HIST 315 Latin America Since Independence

This class examines Latin American history from independence to the present, focusing on how elites and ordinary people struggled with the legacies of colonialism as they built new nations. It also addresses how poverty, inequality, and racism have shaped society, as well as the proposals to confront these problems.
